Overview of Bluetooth

This section describes the Bluetooth standard, with particular attention to its
baseband, LMP, and L2CAP specifications.
Bluetooth is defined to support wireless communications; it was developed
by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), constituted mainly of:
• Nokia Mobile Phones;
• Ericsson Mobile Communications AB;
• IBM Corporation;
• Intel Corporation;
• Toshiba Corporation.
The Bluetooth specifications were published in 1999; nowadays, some
vendors commercialize products that implement this system.
