Wirelessly Connecting a New Server

Using an old or new computer to share files and printers can make your wireless network quite a bit more efficient. Everyone in your home or office can access often-used files and printers without slowing any one person's computer on the network.

Adding the server is a simple as connecting a wireless network adapter to a PC.

Once your wireless network adapter is connected and working, you'll first need to name your computer. Then you can set up file and printer sharing. We discuss these steps in depth in Chapters 7 and 8. In the next sections, we'll look at the basic steps for getting your server up and running.
